Futuristic Fashion: Cat Ear Headbands That Move With Your Mood

I love the Japanese for two main reasons- they have a deep love of cats, which I share and they always come up with the coolest technology. Today I found out about the Japanese company Neurowear and their latest invention, Animatronics cat ear headband! WHAT!

Apparently, these headbands, named necomini (neco meaning cat, mimi meaning ear) move and wiggle to play off your mood. For example, if you are relaxed, the ears lay down on your head. The technology behind this is beyond me, and I was hoping the promo video for these headbands would give some sort of explanation, instead, they show you this:
